What I’m Doing Now

1. I am reading and writing extensively.

“If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot.” – Stephen King

2. I am researching career paths.

  • Medicine-Based Effective Altruism: Myself and a few other Cambridge medical students will be delivering talks around the UK in early 2017 on how to make a positive impact through a career in medicine. Some interesting but disheartening recent research suggests the average doctor has very little quantifiable positive impact – this talk is aimed at addressing this and how they may be able to have more.
  • I am reading scientific study into career choices and conducting a combination of 6 month projects and 2 week experiments to ‘try the water’.

3. I am studying for medical final exams.
